SLM releases the Austin ATC200 Series electric guitars, a classic-shape solid hardwood body guitar that has the performance and feel of an instrument typically costing much more than its MRSP of $219.

The guitar features a neck and fingerboard made of maple; two traditional single coil pickups; vintage style three-saddle bridge; die cast, chrome machine heads; and D’Addario strings. It’s currently available in four popular colors: black, sunburst, white, and butterscotch.

He adds: “It isn’t difficult to put together a line of guitars these days if you simply go to China and choose a bunch of models and stick a name on them. But to do it properly and deliver instruments at these price points that sound and play as well as they do, isn’t easy; we really got into the rudiments of manufacturing quality instruments and hired talented and experienced luthiers and production engineers to help us out.”
