St. Louis Music Releases Austin AA40 Series Acoustic Guitar

November 25th 2009

ST. LOUIS — St. Louis Music is shipping the Austin AA40 Series of acoustic guitars, a solid “AA” Sitka spruce top instrument offered at an MSRP between $259 and $299.

The series is offered in 10 different models in dreadnought, jumbo, and “OOO” styles, and four models include built-in electronics. They all feature mahogany back and sides; mahogany neck; rosewood fingerboard and bridge; solid neck block and bridge plate; ABS bound neck and bottom; and mother of pearl Austin inlay.

“It’s rare to find guitars of this quality, featuring rosewood and mahogany woods at this price point,” says SLM. “These guitars have rich tone and a playability that will appeal to all guitarists who are wanting to step up to a better instrument.”

A great deal of consideration has gone into the design of the entire Austin acoustic line, “and because our materials are of good quality and the craftsmanship is excellent, we don’t need to hide anything,” SLM adds. “This has allowed us to develop mature, understated, and sophisticated styling.”

Austin® has been a division of St. Louis Music since 1998 after the company purchased the brand from Hohner U.S.A. Recently the entire has been revamped, developed, and designed in America by expert luthiers creating instruments that deliver real value to players of all abilities.
