Dixon Now Shipping Precision Coil Pedal

August 17th 2016

ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI- Dixon is thrilled to announce that it is fully stocked and ready to ship its innovative Precision Coil Pedal. Unveiled at winter NAMM 2016, the Precision Coil features a unique spring design, specifically engineered to deliver ultimate responsiveness and ergonomic action.

“We believe the rocking spring mechanism on traditional bass drum pedals lends itself to inefficiency and compromises playability,” Says Jim Uding, Dixon Brand Manager. “Drummers devote considerable time and energy to developing technical solutions that compensate for what is essentially a mechanical problem; The Dixon team designed Precision Coil to be a mechanical solution. The result is a pedal with a sophisticated and streamlined feel that responds to your every move.”

Precision Coil features a specially-selected coil spring enclosed in a chamber with a direct connection to the axle/cam assembly. Fewer moving parts results in an extremely efficient transfer of energy from the pedal board to the beater, providing a feel that smoothly and seamlessly shadows the motions of the playing foot. All this, while maintaining power, acute rebound, full dynamic range, and sensitive rhythmic control. With additional features such as independent foot board height/beater angle adjustments, spring tension adjustment, and an easy-access hoop clamp, each player can further fine-tune the pedal’s feel to personal perfection.
