Alvarez Launches 2014-15 RD26 and RD27

August 7th 2014

ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI – The Alvarez Regent Series RD26 and RD27 have always been popular among beginners for their sound, playability and price point, and they just got better. The Alvarez design team recently upgraded both versions, now shipping for the 2014 and 2015 seasons.

“We’ve always had a culture of constant improvement at Alvarez,” Says Chris Meikle, Senior VP at St. Louis Music and head of Alvarez development. “With these refinements we’re able to take our entry level models to new heights, but also keep the same accessible price point.”

The new RD26 and RD27 versions have more attention paid to the quality of the frets and fretboard, better construction and finish, and utilize high quality laminates to get the most out of an affordable guitar. Other features include a rosewood fingerboard, a bi-level rosewood bridge, Spruce tops and a standard scalloped X bracing system. Both models come with an excellent duo-foam deluxe gig bag.

“We’re very aware that many new players are beginning their musical journey on these guitars,” Meikle continues. “We feel we have a duty to make our affordable models as good as we can, learning on a great guitar helps immensely and makes a greater chance for success”
